Health support

Caring for your health happens between appointments, too.

A therapeutic approach to habits, treatment follow-through and everyday challenges for people managing ongoing health conditions.

Ways to begin

Five ways to start. Your circumstances come first.

Different concerns call for different kinds of support. You can explore these services before deciding what to ask about. An initial assessment helps clarify which approach is appropriate.

Individual psychotherapy

A place to understand what you are going through, in greater depth.

Individual psychotherapy can help address anxiety, low mood, stress, relationship difficulties, grief and significant life changes. We begin by understanding your circumstances, exploring their impact on daily life and agreeing on goals for an evidence-informed therapeutic process. You do not need a diagnosis or a perfectly organised account of what has happened.

Session frequency and duration are discussed following a clinical assessment.

Health and behavioural support

Making room for health care in everyday life.

Designed for people living with a medical condition that calls for ongoing care. We can work on barriers to following treatment, developing sustainable habits, and coping with the worries and changes associated with health. This psychotherapeutic support complements your treating clinical team's work and does not replace medical advice.

Depending on clinical assessment, support may be organised over 4, 8 or 12 weeks.

Personal wellbeing

Time for yourself, even when there is no crisis to resolve.

A therapeutic space to explore habits, relationships, interests, personal values and resources for everyday wellbeing. You do not have to be in crisis or have a diagnosis to reflect on what matters to you and develop skills that serve your life.

We agree on the goals and frequency of sessions together, based on your circumstances.

Initial guidance

Finding a sensible place to begin.

If you are considering seeking professional support but are unsure what kind of care you need, we can talk through your situation and the available options. Guidance is also available if you want to support a partner, family member or someone close to you while respecting their autonomy.

Seeking advice about someone else does not mean assessing or starting treatment for that person.

Counselling

A professional conversation about a specific issue.

Not every concern requires an ongoing course of psychotherapy. We can focus on a decision, an upcoming conversation, an important transition or a problem you want to think through. Together we clarify the question, consider alternatives and identify possible next steps.

A single consultation does not replace psychotherapy when a longer clinical process is indicated.

For treating clinicians

Support that complements medical care.

Behavioural health support may help patients living with diabetes, prediabetes, hypertension, obesity, dyslipidaemia and other ongoing cardiometabolic conditions. The work focuses on obstacles to implementing medical advice, maintaining routines, emotional concerns and sustainable self-care.

The service does not replace medical follow-up, prescribe medication or guarantee specific health outcomes. Coordination with a treating clinician can be discussed with the patient's knowledge and consent.

When to consider a referral

Difficulty following prescribed treatment, uncertainty about health-related changes, challenges with self-monitoring, or stress interfering with self-care.

Clinical collaboration

This work can complement cardiology, endocrinology, internal medicine, family medicine and other relevant specialties.

Expected focus

Realistic behavioural goals, strategies for everyday barriers and resources to support continuity of care.

Frequently asked questions

Questions worth asking.

Do I need a mental health diagnosis to begin?

No. You can start by explaining what has been happening in your life, even if you are not sure how to describe it. We can assess whether psychotherapy or another form of support is appropriate.

What is your therapeutic approach?

My work draws on cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and contextual approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Functional Analytic Psychotherapy (FAP). We choose approaches based on assessment and jointly agreed goals.

Can psychotherapy and psychiatric treatment work together?

Yes. Psychotherapy and medication management can complement each other. These psychotherapy appointments do not include prescribing or adjusting psychiatric medication. If medication should be assessed, we can discuss appropriate professional referrals.

Does health support replace my medical appointments?

No. It focuses on the emotional and behavioural side of living with a medical condition. Your treating doctors remain responsible for medical advice, tests and treatment decisions.

Are all sessions online?

Yes. The services presented here are offered remotely, subject to an assessment of whether this format is suitable for your needs and location.

How much does a session cost?

Before confirming an appointment, the fee, currency, duration and any cancellation or package conditions are explained. You can also ask for these details using the professional contact channel.

Which time zone is used?

Mexico City (UTC−6) is the reference time zone. If you are elsewhere, always verify the local time and time zone before confirming a session.

Can I book from the United States or the United Kingdom?

Reading this website in English does not establish eligibility for clinical care in another jurisdiction. Please enquire first so we can review location, professional requirements and whether an appointment can be offered.
